Two-component, vitrifying, glossy epoxy enamel with high resistance to yellowing.
It is characterized by a high transparency provided, however, not to create thicknesses greater than 1 mm, under penalty of the appearance of opacity first and then a milky effect.
It is certified for permanent contact with all foods at temperatures below 40 ° C and temporary up to 70 ° C, in accordance with European Regulation 10/2011.
It also resists washing in the dishwasher at temperatures not exceeding 80 ° C.
It can be applied on various materials, such as wood, metal, terracotta, plaster and even on polystyrene; in addition, the product does not remove decorations made with water-based or acrylic colors.
Contains a spreading additive to prevent creep and improve the surface appearance and a thixotropic agent that reduces the tendency to dripping when applied vertically.
Certified for permanent contact with all foods, in compliance with the European Regulation 10/2011.
It forms a compact, hard and shiny surface layer with high adhesion and flexibility qualities that allow it to accompany the expansion and deformation of the substrate to which it has been applied.
Excellent resistance to mechanical stress, such as abrasion and impact, and is unassailable by corrosive substances in general, acid solutions, alkalis, greases and oils.
Fields of use
It is mainly used in surface vitrification intended to come into permanent contact with food, such as tanks and tubs but also products such as wooden cutting boards, glasses, plates, bowls.
After hardening, the surface is glossy, with a glassy appearance, and has high resistance to impact, scratching and yellowing.
It can also be effectively used to glaze surfaces that do not require suitability for food contact such as artifacts in the arts, crafts and costume jewelery sectors.
Surfaces must be degreased and sanded and / or sanded, including those made 3-4 or more days before with the same DURALOID AL-30 2.0.
Coarse roughness is not needed but it is enough to create opacity.
Preparation of the product
Weigh the stoichiometric quantities exactly (100 parts of component A and 33 parts of component B) mix well, also scraping the sides and bottom of the container, until the mixture is homogeneous.
ATTENTION: do not put more component B than necessary, with the unfounded intent to accelerate the reaction, because the final mechanical capabilities of the coating would be compromised.
The particular viscosity of the product is designed to allow application with a brush or with a short-haired roller type “moair”, without the need for any dilution for temperatures of 25 ° C, and to obtain, on the ground and on the wall, in 1 coat about 330 μm recommended thickness.
At lower temperatures it is recommended to dilute with:
– 2-5% of ECOSOLV 220 for applications on polystyrene and flooring and / or coatings
– 2-5% PURE ETHYL ALCOHOL, to obtain coatings that will come into contact with food.
To apply DURALOID AL-30 2.0 by spraying, depending on the system used (pressure and nozzle diameter), the dilution can be up to about 10%.
At 25 ° C, do not allow more than 24 hours to pass between two successive applications.
